Elon Musk’s poll asking if he should step down as head of Twitter appeared hours after he was photographed at the World Cup final in Qatar.
And that photo tells us two things: First, Musk was standing next to Jared Kushner, son-in-law of Donald Trump, the former US president who Musk had tried, and failed, to lure both backs into his social network.
Musk knows that any significant Trump tweet is likely to result in a controversial moment, but one that will be a “jackpot” for Twitter and bring huge audiences to the platform.
For his part, Trump knows that too, of course, and has his agenda, namely his social network, Truth Social, to which he has remained faithful thus far.
