Late last year, Honor launched its flagship Pad V8 Pro tablet with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. 12.1-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate. Recently, the manufacturer announced its junior Pad V8 version, based on the latest Dimensity 8020 processor, starting at 1,900 yuan (about US$275).

In China, the novelty is already receiving orders. To reserve a purchase, a deposit of 100 yuan ($15) is required. For this, when making the purchase, they will give a discount on the device in the same amount of R$ 15. Excluding the discount, the tablet costs US$ 275 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and CNY 2,000 ( $287) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version.

The non-tablet model Pro Pad V8 received a more compact 11-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. Its refresh rate is lower than the older model and is 120 Hz. The novelty received a 7250 mAh battery. It supports 22.5W charging. For comparison, the Pro version is equipped with 10,050mAh batteries and 35W charging.

This processor is manufactured using 6nm process technology. It has four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, and a Mali-G77 MC9 graphics core. The Dimensity 8020 is based on the Dimensity 1100 chip previously released by the company.

The novelty runs on the Android 12 operating system with the MagicUI 6.1 shell. The tablet claims to have a microSD card slot, support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, four speakers supporting DTS:X Ultra technology, a thickness of 7.3 mm, and a weight of 485 grams. Like the Pro version, the Pad V8 comes with a synthetic leather back.

The device will optionally offer Magic Pencil 3 and Magic Keyboard.
